This velvety bisque is smoky, creamy, and packed with rich umami thanks to our Thai Basil Bloody Mary Mix. It’s the ultimate soul-soother for chilly days or fancy brunch starters.
Ingredients:

3 red bell peppers

8 cloves garlic

1 yellow onion
-
2 (8 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes

2 cups heavy cream

2 cups Lovejoy’s Thai Basil Bloody Mary Mix

1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

3 Tbsp sugar
-
1 Tbsp dried basil
-
1 Tbsp dried oregano
-
Salt & pepper to taste

Garnish: Fresh basil & a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss bell peppers, garlic, and onion in neutral oil with salt and pepper. Roast until golden brown and soft.

In a medium sauce pot, combine roasted vegetables, canned tomatoes, cream, Thai Basil Mix, sugar, and dried herbs.

Simmer on low for 20 minutes.

Purée with a standing blender or immersion blender until smooth.

Season to taste. Garnish with fresh basil and a drizzle of olive oil.
